About Blossom

Blossom is an approximately 1 year old, 60 lbs. super people friendly girl. She's very much a puppy still but has made tremendous progress while in our rescue's care. She walks great on leash with a training tool, does excellent in her crate and very much loves being in it, knows the 'sit', 'stay', and 'place' command and is learning more every day. She has learned how to respect thresholds and listen to commands before entering or exiting a room, crate, etc.��%BD��%BD%BD%A0She is a medium to high energy dog who can definitely go on long hikes but who is also happy with a few walks in the neighborhood. She really enjoys learning so doing some training drills a couple times a day with her will help her mental stimulation. Blossom should be the only dog in the home and she's not a dog park dog. A quieter neighborhood or country living would be best for her. She was recently adopted but has become increasingly dog reactive in her new home. After an incident with another dog, where the owner of the other dog was accidently bit by Blossom when she tried to separate the 2 dogs, Blossom came back to us. Blossom will need an experienced and confident owner who can continue providing her with the structure and guidance she needs to succeed. She does wonderfully in a home but needs someone who sets boundaries and enforces rules. We've seen her thrive in a structured environment. She has been successfully working with our trainer and has been ecollar trained and hasn't shown any reactions to other dogs with us. The goal with her is peaceful existence around other dogs, not for them to be friends.
