About Adonis

Pit Bull / Lab
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Adonis has been our family pet since 8 weeks old, he is now 1/12 yrs old. Due to Covid we may have to move into an apt. We will know in the next two and half weeks. Because we love him so much I'm looking now for a new family that will love him as much as we do if we have to move. He has been raised in a large home with 3 teen boys and a toddler girl who just turned 6. He is very well behaved, knows commands and learns new skills quickly. He knows sit, stay, lay down, crawl, shake, other paw, wheres... (my daughters name) and he finds her, wait for (my daughters name), get it, drop it, come, leave it, go home, ect. He is leash trained, I walk him with a leash my son walks him without. He is also create trained, but we hardly make him go in it anymore. We have a cat and she stays down stairs and he's scared of her... so he only looks down stairs and is too scared to go down there because she will attack him. He loves my daughter and he lets her do what ever she wants... puts things in his mouth, makes his face smile, I've even caught her trying to ride on his back. He has also been trained not to take food. We can put a plate of food on the floor and he'll only sniff it not eat it. He is non food aggressive, is not allowed on furniture and also does well with my nieces who are 5&7. He is walked daily 1-2 hours between my son and I. His two negatives, he is protective of my daughter around strangers. If out for a walk when she's with me he will growl with hair up and teeth showing if some trys to walk by us or if he sees them in the distance. When I'm alone with him while walking he's iffy with staranges... sometimes he shows aggression at times no aggression. When with my daughter we walk to the other side of street if some is passing. If it's just myself walking him I make him sit to the side till people pass. He dosent do this at all with my sons, in fact he's friendly with people... which is why they can walk him without a leash? His other negative is that he barks and growls at everyone who comes over to the house or that passes by the house. When someone comes over after they say hi to him he is all love and joy. We love him dearly and if we don't have to move we will keep him. We will know fore sure in the next two and half weeks if we will have to move. We are assuming we will have to move which is my I'm looking ahead of time. To secure a home just Incase.
