About Aric

Are you looking for a 50 lb lap dog that loves to love? Aric might just be the boy for you! His foster has described Aric as the sweetest little furry love bug that has ever graced their home. That sounds like some high praise! He is reported to be SUPER friendly and is great with other dogs. Aric even wore down the extremely grumpy and territorial Schnauzer (resident dog in his foster home) into being on friendly terms. Aric's happy spirit even convinced the resident dog to play with him occasionally. Aric is smart and very treat/praise motivated. He just wants to make you happy. Aric is one of the dogs that follow you like your own shadow. He gets very anxious without people which is not uncommon in dogs that have been abandoned. Due to this insecurity, Aric is not a fan of being left alone in his crate for long periods of time and any toy left in his kennel will be reduced to stuffing. A household with a stay at home parent, someone that works from home, or a retired person would be best suited for this cuddle bug. Aric is also REALLY REALLY good at chasing balls. It's the 'bring it back' part that he isn't so great at. ����#workinprogress Aric's exuberance for life does tend to make him overly happy when he first meets someone but will soon settle down and try to squeeze in a cuddle session. Aric was not around small children or cats in his foster home but we are happy to report that he was excellent around other dogs he met. Also, Aric is happy to sleep in his kennel at night and does better if his kennel is within view of his family. A situation where he is kenneled in a bedroom would be perfect. Aric just needs the reassurance that his family is still there to love on him.
