About Bernard

Sweet little 4 month old Bernard came to us from a smaller shelter in San Antonio. He is a little Chihuahua but has a huge amount of love to give. Bernard came to us with a crazy injury to his back legs. The shelter suspected he was hit by a vehicle. The vet said it was an older injury so it was decided to allow him to continue healing it on his own. So he has a bit of a wonky leg .... BUT that doesn't stop or slow him down in the least. Here we are a couple months down the line and he is the happiest go lucky pup on the planet! Bernard is great with kids younger and older. He is a bit timid at first with other pups and cats but adapts quickly. Bernard is one of those dogs that eats food like it's going out of style. A puzzle feeder or the like is recommended to help slow down Bernard and his voracious eating habits. He gives tons of kisses and is just a delight.
