About Polly

Hi there! I'm Polly and I'm a ~5 year old, 60lbs Pit Bull terrier mix. I was just recently rescued from the HIT living team, and I am still coming out of my shell, and allowing myself to be loved... I have never experienced that before, and it feels soooo good :) - I am a SUPER sweet and observant girl, and just a big bundle of LOVE. - I am very timid but gaining confidence quickly and am a fast learner, especially when there are other dogs around me who can show me the ropes! - I am not super treat or food motivated, although I LOVE deli meat, and really like a nice bone to chew on :) - My favorite things to do is lounging around on the sofa or dog bed for most of the day, with my human by my side. I am a big sweet couch potato. - I am timid on walks and in new places, and spend a lot of time sniffing my surroundings. I will sometimes need praises and motivation to keep going, as I am still learning to gain more confidence. - I have never really been in a home before my foster home, so I am still learning house rules and boundaries like what I can sit and jump on, but I am very responsive to a stern 'no' from my owner if I'm doing something that is not allowed, like putting my paws on the counter. I haven't had any accidents in the home though, so I am potty trained! - I LOVE other dogs, and absolutely will require a home with other dog friends who could boost my confidence and show me how to be a doggo! - My ideal home setting is in a home with a gentle and sweet individual or family, who will have the patience to teach me all the joys of being a dog, as well as another dog friend to learn from, and lots and lots of love and cuddles!!!!!!
