About URGENT NOW!

Pit Bull
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

We'd like to tell you about our little Baby Sunshine. A508462 is a little Pocket Pit Bull girl about 6 years old, who has been overbred, unloved and forgotten. Through no fault of her own, she was abandoned in her home with two pups from her last litter. The three of them were left to fend for themselves while the family moved on. When the time came, all three came willingly with the officer to the shelter. Once here, they were eager to please. The two puppies were adopted immediately once they became available but not our poor Baby Sunshine. It was not her time to find her forever home yet. Her home was going to need to be somewhere spectacularly special after all the heartache and hardship she had survived. She not only raised her babies but she protected them. She was their light in the darkness, the provider when they were hungry, the heat when they were cold'| she was their Mother! Now her babies have homes of their own. She is no longer needed as the guardian for her pups'|. She is no longer wanted as a pet for her family'|. She is lost and forgotten, sitting here at the shelter, alone. It's almost been two months and you can see the hope dwindling from her eyes. Her head lowered, her excitement, gone'|. She has done her job and done it well, it is now her time to be the everything to someone's aching and lonely heart. It's her time now and she needs your help to find her that 'spectacular' home. The one filled with love and soft approving words. The one where she is no longer used as a puppy maker but just loved for being the cuddle bug that she is. She is special and deserving of her 'happily ever after'. She is quiet and calm even when scared or uncomfortable. She's cute and effortlessly funny'| She was in the play yard one day and after relieving herself while I was sitting on a bench, the other person in the yard, brought down the hose to rinse off the area she had just soiled. Without looking at the person, she calmly and very nonchalantly walked a big circle around him coming up behind me and casually snuck under the bench until the water stop, once quiet, she peeked her head out from between my knees to see if the coast was clear. She actually tried to be lackadaisical, she had forethought to not bring attention to herself but that in itself made her so obvious. I couldn't hold back my giggles and once I began petting her, she decided to stay a while and enjoyed some love. Below are some pictures of that interaction, another more recent picture of her and her notes. She was temp tested with a smaller dog and that didn't go great. At first she was frozen still, tensed and focused, then when we wanted to break up the stare, she became a little aggressive towards him. It's her time now, she needs you and all of your help. She has been here for seven weeks without interest. Her puppies are adopted, her family left her, she's alone and has lost hope. Please help her find the twinkle in her eye, the giddy-up in her step, the love in her heart. I am described as a female, tan and white Pit Bull Terrier. The shelter thinks I am about 6 years old. I weigh approximately 43.00 lbs. I have been at the shelter since Dec 19, 2020 and I may be available for adoption on Dec 31, 2020 at 2:13PM.
