About George

George of the Jungle is officially ready for a forever home of his own! This 2.5(ish) year old 18 lb spitfire is a sweet guy with a goofy personality. We believe he is a dachshund/terrier mix. Due to his history of being a stray doggie living in a bush (hence the name), he can be a little slow to trust humans at first. He's not snappy, just shy, and likely to run away from new people. He would probably prefer a quieter home maybe with older children as I believe younger children will likely make him uncomfortable. He is an active little fellow who definitely needs a fenced yard to get his zoomies out. He would love another dog in the house to play with, and wouldn't mind a kitty sibling. He has been pretty quick to accept new people individually, but is frightened by large groups of new people at once. He is calm in the house, and enjoys cuddling, chewing on bones, and just pestering his older foster brothers. Outside is where his personality truly shines and he LOVES to run and chase and play. He likes to be with his person, and can be a bit whiney if left alone so I would not recommend him for apartment life. However, he gets car sick fairly easily, so not an ideal travel companion. He is fully vetted: neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and on preventatives for heartworms, fleas, and ticks! Located in Cleveland, TN. His adoption fee is $150.
