About Mardi

Mardi is a 2-year old, 49-pound American Staffordshire being cared for by our friends at Pope Memorial Humane Society in Dover, NH. She's a beautiful brindle who's been in the shelter for much too long. Why? We have no idea because she's fantastic! Mardi would love a balanced homelife and someone experienced with dogs who thrive on structure and activity. She enjoys learning and is treat-motivated so her potential is unlimited. She does well with kind leadership. Mardi has worked very hard in her training sessions to overcome her wariness of other dogs. In fact, she's come so far that she has playdates with fellow fur-kids and can now be adopted to a family with a compatible, mannerly friend. Her adopter must be willing to take it slow so that a healthy relationship between dogs is built. Mardi has a heart of gold and loves being with people. Her favorite activities include walks, jogging alongside bicycle rides, playing with toys and friends, hanging out on your lap. Nosework is fun, too. Though warm weather is here, she loves somersaulting in the snow and is sure to warm your heart with her winter antics. Requirements: Active but calm life, teens 14+, no cats, experienced owner, keep up with her learned skills, fellow dog if compatible. We hope you check the boxes!
