Ali is an energetic medium breed girl, that is around 2 years old and about 40 lbs. Her ideal match would be an active person that loves to run, hike, or bike with a dog by their side. SHE IS NOT A BEGINNER DOG. Ali will need a special home with someone who has dog experience as she can use some help with meeting strangers. She has a fear of anyone she doesn't know and tends to bark and act mean. She really is just insecure due to something in her past and also has a harder time trusting men. She would do best with a female human companion. She has completed basic obedience training but could use additional professional training to gain confidence and continue to learn good behaviors. She needs a family that will take charge, but gently. Loud noises and voices send her cowering and she will nervous piddle. She loves to learn new tricks and will do almost anything for treats. She is selective of other dogs in her home as she loves to have all the attention to herself . . . would do best as an only dog or with a larger dog that is less dominant. She has done fine with the cats in her foster home but tends to chase any stray cats that come in the yard. She is crate trained, can sit, lay down, shake, wait, and knows 'place'. She loves to play fetch as well. Absolutely no kids under 12 for her as they make her nervous.
