About Dove

Meet Dove Dove is a lovely young kitty at just a year old. She is the mom to Diamond and Dior. We rescued this little family from a high kill shelter. They were all sick when we got them, with Dove being in the worst condition. She gave all she had to make sure her daughters were okay and she was exhausted. They have all been nursed back to health and are ready to be adopted. Dove is a beautiful Snowshoe/Siamese mix. She is a little shy and prefers to snuggle with her daughters. She has become dependent on her daughter Dior, and we will adopt them together as a bonded pair. She's quiet and calm. Given what this beauty has gone through, she might prefer to be in a quiet home where she can get the love she needs to feel secure enough to come out of her shell. For one so young, she's had a hard go of things and could sure use some TLC to help her thrive. If you're looking to welcome a couple of sweet kitties to your family, Dove and Dior may be your girls. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open. Our shelter is currently closed to the general public as a result of the COVID-19 crisis. However, for approved adopters we are making appointments to meet and adopt your fur baby.
