About Buddy

Buddy is believed to be 3-5 years old, and a boxer, shepherd, pit mix but we are not 100% sure. He has been An amazing dog and to rehome him has been hard on us. Buddy and my in laws dog recently got in a bad fight. He has always done great with other dogs we have absolutely no idea what happened and because of that we are looking to rehome for both his safety and our young children's. Though he has always done great with other dogs we are suggesting he goes to a home with no other pets or just being placed with our other dog (see other listing) but leaving the option up to you. He has always been great with our daughter. Can be very playful but also loves to lay around and relax. The only issue we have ever had with him before the fight is he has bad separation anxiety. He cannot be left alone without being in a good kennel. He will escape outside, and tear stuff up inside. He has escaped the kennel before so we had to use two. If he is with our other dog he never gets out. Buddy can tend to be food aggressive. Not towards people but to other dogs. We currently fed one dog inside and one outside. He doesn't attack the other dog he just won't let the other one eat. Not good with cats or small farm animals such as chickens and bunnies. Trying to list everything I can think of but I am happy to answer any question. He is honestly a really good dog we just had a very bad and random fight happen that has put us in a situation that has no good solution.
