About Gracey

Gracey: Gracey is an approx. 2.5 year old German Shepherd Puppy/ young adult. I'm not sure if she is pure or mixed breed. Her back hips are not very slanted so look like won't be an issue later in life. Gracey is a Velcro dog. She is Super sweet and loves being with her person. She gets along well with other dogs and cats and loves to play with other dogs. She listens well, is house broken, communicative of her needs, and is very well behaved, and respectful. She will paw at the door sometimes. She has the basic commands. We are working on Heeling. She is improving and needs more work with this. Gracey is protective, barks if there are noises outside etc, but isn't aggressive. She has a sweet gentle spirit, Soul. She has a lot of energy and has calmed down considerably the last few months. She is happy, playful, fun, loving, friendly. Her favorite things are to be with her person/ people, play with other dogs, play fetch, play frisbee, go for car rides and get belly rubs. She is a great hiking partner and loves running in the woods. She loves when you throw toys for her, will often play with them a bit and then want another throw. When I leave her home in the yard, she is almost always waiting for me by the gate. I am looking to find Gracey a home where there is another youngish dog with whom she can get her play, and exercise needs met and have a best friend. My guess is she would do great with children and be a great family dog. She will do best in a home where she isn't alone too much and it's important she gets enough exercise. She will do best with experienced dog handlers, who are very gentle and positive. She has a sweet very sensitive nature and so would not do well with harsh training either physically or verbally. She is a super sweet and wonderful dog with a really big heart. She is and will be an absolutely awesome dog in the right home. Rescue me has us in Sandia Park, we are in Santa Fe.
