About CHICKIE

HI - I'M CHICKIE! I'm a 10-year-old sweet, cuddly, and affectionate chihuahua who was given up by my long-time owner who was moving. I have a slight heart murmur and some arthritis, but overall I'm in great health! My foster mom has put me on a diet and I'm feeling better than I ever did! I have lost 7 pounds! I run around the house like I'm a puppy! I do have a cherry eye that will be removed prior to adoption, and may need a little dental work, too, when I go into the vet. I go on two long walks every day and am so happy. I snuggle with my foster parents and with my doggie buddies, too. I can be a bit stubborn and never really learned any commands, but I'm still as sweet and adorable as ever. I will be your shadow and your pal if you adopt me. I love being the center of attention, and would do great as an only dog since I can be a bit jealous. I would rather sleep in your bed than in a crate or my own bed, so I hope that's OK with you. :) I am crate trained and potty trained and doggie-door trained, but can be a bit of an escape artist. I love to eat and can hardly contain myself when it is breakfast or dinner time. I would do best in a adult-only quiet home, with someone who is home a lot because I love company. Can you adopt me?
