OPERATION HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS!! Meet Theo!!! Theo is a beautiful 9 month old Lab mix who is a goofy, high energy boy who would rather play tug than cuddle on the couch. If you're an avid hiker, if you want a jogging buddy with legs that can go miles, Theo might be your dog. He is an avid foodie but has so far remembered to stay off the counter. He loves car rides and other dogs, but would probably be best as an only pet. He can be intense and has no concept of boundaries, so other animals and children will be bowled over. Redirecting him from cats, or getting him to not be so mouthy when roughhousing with other dogs, is probably unrealistic. Theo is a bit shy at first and does take some time to warm up. He is always more interested in toys than he is in meeting other humans. Other dogs though are his favorite. When he was returned to us he had some anxiety issues and we have worked through most of it with him. He has come such a long way since we got him. He is now doing great but will definitely need structure and continued obedience training to reach his full potential. Theo is crate trained and his kennel helps him calm down. When he's out, he's *on*. Since he has trouble regulating himself, he needs external boundaries. He is also an enthusiastic chewer and I recommend toys that *don't* have stuffing unless you'd like a snow effect for the holidays. He is good at Sit and Down, even if he won't hold them long. He tends to pull on the leash but gets better once you really get going. He's gotten the idea of 'Leave It'. He might not be a chill dog, but we are looking for someone who can appreciate his exuberance and energy. Experience with Huskies and other go-go-go breeds is recommended.
