About Shadow

Shadow is a very special boy with a very special story. We first met Shadow late last year at a local county shelter during an adoption event where we were assisting in promoting available pets online. We met Shadow and instantly fell in love since he is a very handsome, friendly and mellow husky. Although he spent a few months at the county shelter waiting for a family, he did get adopted earlier this year and of course we were thrilled at the time :) What we did not know is that the person that adopted him was a resident from another state in the mid-west, who picked him up while on vacation in California and preparing to return home. Shortly after he returned home the pandemic hit his area and became unemployed, due to the financial hardship he relocated but couldn't take Shadow and subsequently abandoned him in his hometown :O Luckily a good samaritan found him, scanned him for a chip and hopped on the internet in an effort to track down his owner. When he went online the finder stumbled upon our video posts of Shadow when he was available at the county shelter in california and reached out to us regarding Shadows present situation. We were able to find out the details about Shadow being adopted by someone in Iowa who was no longer willing to care for Shadow. When we heard of this news and Shadows situation WE HAD TO FIND A WAY TO MAKE SURE HE WAS SAFE! Once his story got out an amazing team of animal lovers and welfare groups was able to help get Shadow all the way from Iowa back to his hometown in sunny southern california :) As you can see from his story, we are looking for a great forever home for Mr Shadow so he will always know he is loved for the rest of his life. Shadow is great with dogs of any size and loves people. He is a very quiet dog, super mellow indoors, but still loves to go out on walks and enjoy adventures outdoors.
