About Sir Murphy

Sir Murphy came to us after his owner began to suffer from sever depression winding up in the hospital for a leg amputation. He was abandonaed by his first family and therefor now sufferes from seperation anxiety. Murphy is a complete sweetheart, as long as you are laying on the couch he will lay with you; a lap dog at heart. He bonds to his people quickly and will thrive in a home with stability and schedule. Murphy does not do well being left alone, he struggles with separation anxiety and destructive behaviour when left too long. Murphy is currently potty trained and will pee when asked to go 'potty'. As far s we have seen murphy is un- reactive when it comes to other dogs and cats and has done well in the presence of children. He knows how to sit, but will need help learning other basic commands. He walks incredibly well on a leash with np pulling. He is a nervous dog who will need to go to a family who has the time to give him the love he has been missing. It does seem as though murphy has allergies, mostly to food. He will need a family who can provide him with the right food to help with his red itchy skin. We have him listed as no adoption fee but please know we are only going to adopt him out to someone who can provide him with the food and care he needs whether it be 5 dollars or 500. He will be going to the vet on (12/7/2020) and the results will be let known to anyone who reaches out about murphy. He is available for a foster, long term foster or adoption.
