I am in a predicament, I'm not sure what to do. I have a Bone Mouthed Sharpei our daughter gave us a couple years ago, to take care of for her until she could find a place they would accept dogs. She now has 3 baby daughters and realizes that she won't ever be able to take him. He is a very smart and loyal dog. He is very regal and will sit and stare in your eyes for hours. He needs a little more training, like walking on a leash and won't poop if he's tied up. He is so well housetrained, he has held it for 36 hrs, when we went to the cities one time. He snaps at other animals if they hurt, bite at, bite on or scratch him. He has bit a couple of other animals in the face and I don't know who would want an animal like that. Maybe someone who understands these types of dogs. He has bad ear problems. I'm afraid to clean his ears or cut his nails for fear of getting bit. Although the vet did it for him a couple years ago with no problems. I can't keep care for him anymore. I do not want to see this dog put down because of the breed he is.
