About Ruthie

Meet Ruthie, a sweet pup who would love to celebrate the holidays in er forever home! Named after the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Ruthi and RBG share many traits. small, scrappy, intelligent and kind! Sweet Ruthie is an approximately 1 year old 12 pound terrier mix who was rescued from Texas where she was found with her sister, living as strays until they were taken in by a rescue. Ruthie is housebroken (with the occasional accidents in the house if she wanders off too long), crate and leash trained. She can be trusted to sleep in bed with us overnight but she will often mover to her crate on her own. Ruthie is great with other dogs, cats and kids and is the happiest dog to ever greet you she runs around each member of the family one by one to say good morning. Her personality is quite relaxed- she enjoys playing with our kids and our other dog but is quite content to curl up and sleep when I need to get work done. She loves to be held, snuggled and have her ears scratched. She doesnot being in her crate alone if she knows others are home and will bark, but once everyone is gone she will calm down. Ruthie hasn't had a lot of experience riding in the car but was quite quiet and shook a bit during each ride. Ruthie does not like to be outside in the Wisconsin cold weather for too long. Ruthie is not a frequent barker except when a new person arrives at the house; she calms down as soon as she knows that we are comfortable with the visitor.
