About Lacosta

Lacosta was found roaming on the streets of a small Russian town of Petrozavodsk. She was about a year old then and just came up to the volunteers on her own and let them put a leash on. She's been in a foster home since (Lacosta is 2 years old). She is curious and human-oriented. She is happy and likes to play with toys. Medium activity, prefers to have three walks a day (to avoid accidents at home) and some playtime. She is good with other dogs and will happily play with them, but will not share food. She is curious about cats, will come up and smell them. If they are aggressive to her she may growl, but will not attack or hurt them. Again, as with other dogs, she is protective over her food and will not share with cats. She gets super excited around kids and wants to play, but not sure how, so she mostly just jumps around and barks happily. She rides in the car without a problem and will come up to greet strangers. She can stay home by herself with other dogs if she has toys or things to chew on. She eats dry food twice a day. The ideal family for Lacosta is relatively active family with kid(s) and other dog(s), but without cats. Lacosta is 40 lbs., 22' to the shoulders, spayed, vaccinated and healthy.
