About Scout

Scout is a handsome 7month old Dachshund/Heeler mix looking for his forever home! He was owner surrendered to us, due to needing more of an active home. Scout currently weighs in at 17lbs, and may have just a bit more growing to do. Scout is a friendly, sweet, playful boy who is looking for an active home that has another playful dog. It is unknown how he is with cats. It is also unknown how he is with children, but we recommend older children only due to Scout being territorial at times. Scout is house broken, leash trained, and loves to go for rides in the car! His favorite activities are doing zoomies, playing with ropes or balls, and playing tug-o-war. He is smart boy that not only completed puppy obedience class, but also knows sit, stay, shake, lay down, and down! He would do best in a home with a yard, due to barking when no one is home. Any current dogs living in the home must meet Scout to make sure it is a good fit. He would love an active, exciting, and loving home! He is He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped and vet checked. His adoption fee of $400 which includes a complementary vet visit. To potentially adopt him come to our shelter location at 1102 W Hatcher Road in Phoenix 85021, open Tuesday to Sunday 11am to 6pm. --Covid update: To adhere to CDC guidelines, we are open for adoptions only at a max capacity of 15 people in the building at a time.
