About VENUS

Hi I'm Venus.. (dog friendly) My tail will wag and I am happy around people but I don't trust quite yet and I can also get defensive and bark and act like I don't like you. I am confuswd Can you save my life? I am a 2-year old, unaltered female, brown and white American Pit Bull Terrier. I was not very cooperative when I came into the shelter. I was growly and bit at the snare they used to capture me. But then after I was here a while, my last notes said that I wagged my tail when approached, rushed up to greet a familiar handler and solicited her attention, and let a second, unfamiliar handler pet me. Pretty good for a pup that couldn't be handled less than a month ago. My dog evaluation indicated that I might be able to go to a home with another dog, if we were properly introduced. That said, I have been known to jump on, lick, or nibble a dog when first meeting. I am hoping that someone will see the progress I've made and take a chance on me. Note that I still have a lot to learn and am not yet ready for a home with children... .Can you all come together and help me live?
