About Nova

Nova is an affectionate dog who loves the right people. As stated, should not be around children. As her breed entails, she herds small beings, such as children. She is good with certain other dogs but a squirmish may break out. She is territorial and protective over her items, people included. She is vocal about it. She listens very well, when she wants to. You have to be the leader of the pack or she will do what she wants. She listens very well to me, but not others because they don't assert themselves with other peoples dogs, which is expected. Thats the Bad. She is VERY affectionate. She does everything in her power to force her love on you and will very easily sneak her way on to your shoulders and lick the crap out of you, from a well performed 'sit' command. She knows right from wrong but she is sassy and pushes the limits, as long as you enjoy a spunky dog, you will love her. She needs to be worked and will do exceptional as a working dog, but equally as great as a companion for a more secluded person or couple with no children, and room to roam. Does well with our horse and chickens. We have 2 other dogs who she is in the middle rank and regularly asserts dominance to the younger one, including a beat down, and regularly gets a beat down from the older dog. The other two wouldn't raise a fuss otherwise. Unfortunately for us, she can not be trusted around children, and we are beginning a family. We have a 6 month old now without issue, but once they can run, she heels them. Working dog. We don't want to let her go, but simply have no choice.
