Everyone, meet Frida, a Chihuahua/Poodle mix. Isn't she lovely. Sadly, she is being surrendered to our rescue. As a foster-based rescue, we need to find her a foster or better yet an adopter before the end of December! Frida is 6-7 years old. Weighs about 12-15 lbs. She's house trained. When they first adopted her from a shelter, they were informed that she came from an abused home and the owner was arrested for animal cruelty. There are some behaviors they see that stems from her previous environment. This includes being afraid of humans and will not trust humans being near her. They have had her for about 3 years now and she only allows them to approach her on her own terms. Poor girl! In addition, she has a sensitive stomach, but they feed them freeze dried beef Stella and Chewy's and she's been doing fine on that. Given Frida's previous circumstances, she truly needs a loving, patient person, who will give her time and space to decompress and to thrive. Please contact me if you are interested.
