About Hope

Hope is the name we gave a beautiful 4 year old, 14 lb Chihuahua/Jack Russell Blend. She and her whole family were dumped on the side of the road in Amarillo. They were all running around near the highway when a good samaritan stopped and called in for help. Help came and it took a couple of hours to get them all. They were scared and very hungry. Hope was so scared and very thin, she went immediately to the vet. She had pyometra and was rushed into emergency surgery; had they not found them when they did, she would have died. We call her Hope because she is one of those rescues that you just want to give hope to. She is a bit shy, but you would be too if you and your 5 babies, dad, and 3 brothers and sisters were all dumped on a busy highway to care for yourselves. We called her Mamadog at first because she made sure her whole family were and had food, then she would eat. She is a super sweet girl who deserves a super sweet home, one that will love her and never give up on her. She is hoping to find a family for the holidays, one that will give her a bit of time and some yummy treats and a lot of love.
