Bentley is a 4-year-old, 16 pound Rat Terrier mix who came to us terrified. Since he has been in a foster home, he has warmed up and is now learning how to be a house dog. Bentley is a funny little guy; he wants love and affection so much but is still scared to get it. When you have food, however, he quickly becomes your new BFF and will tap dance, grin and bounce around like the happy dog we know he will someday be. Bentley is looking for a patient and understanding family who can give him all the time he needs to adjust. He needs an adult-only home, a fenced yard, and one or more dog friends to play with. Bentley has learned from the other dogs and seems to thrive with their help. Bentley is crate trained, likes to go for walks on leash and wrestle with other dogs. He mostly ignores cats but sometimes will give chase, so a home with cats would depend on their personality.
