About MISSY

MISSY: 8-yr old female Chihuahua/Basenji mix, 17 lbs, low energy, current on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed, housebroken & has had a recent dental cleaning with extractions. Missy was a stray surrender & came from a life of abuse & neglect. Missy came to us with a blown out knee (cruciate ligament rupture) on her left back leg, originally thought to need surgery right away, but has since healed on its own with medication that she takes once a day. She is able to now walk, run & even jump without any issues. (However, please keep in mind that this may need to be addressed in the future if you are considering her for adoption. Our estimate in August was $1,600.) Missy did have an extensive dental cleaning with 22 teeth extracted on 10-20-20. She already had 10 teeth missing prior to surgery & has 10 teeth remaining. She eats softened small bites kibble with a half can of wet food twice a day. She has since completely recovered from surgery, had her post op checkup & is 100% healthy & ready for adoption! Missy is the sweetest little girl & is very loving, quiet & mellow. She may be just a tad shy sometimes, but has really come out of her shell since being socialized & going to the puppy park with her foster parents! Missy is awesome on leash, on car rides, at the dog park & at the groomers. She is great with other dogs of all ages & sizes, as well as kittens. Missy would be a great addition to almost any family, but preferably one that will take her out on lots of outings & walks.
