PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS FOR BUDDY: 1. NO SMALL CHILDREN 2. NEEDS PERSON WITH SMALL DOG EXPERIENCE 3. NEEDS SOMEONE WHO IS HOME MORE OFTEN THAN GONE BECAUSE OF POTTY NEEDS DURING DAY. 10 year old male Chihuahua mix, about 10 pounds. Buddy is about the sweetest snuggle bug you will ever meet. He's a jaunty gentleman who enjoys a nice walk outside, lots of cuddles on the couch and in bed under the covers. At 10 years young and fully vetted, he would make a perfect companion for a person who is looking for a pup that is active, yet mellow. Buddy also happens to be blind, but he uses his bat-like ears for radar and his bloodhound nose to navigate. Because of this, he is likely to follow you and be underfoot, so he would do best in a home with no small children, someone who has small dog experience and a lot of time to give him the affection he deserves. He does love kids, so a visiting child with supervision would be ok. Buddy is smart and extremely food motivated and does well with a structured schedule. He sleeps through the night in the foster's bed, he is also crate trained, but during the day, he needs to go potty more often. Buddy loves people, does well with most dogs - he does not appreciate over exuberance and will get pretty snarky if a dog is in his face. He seems unfazed by cats. He has dry eye and needs ointment applied twice daily, cost is approximately $30 per month. Adoption contract and fee applies. All adoptable dogs can be met at adoption events hosted every weekend. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. If you live within a five-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
