[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] This baby is Tommy. We will tell you his story but you need a box of tissue handy. He is a 9 year old poodle. He came into rescue in the most deplorable of conditions. He has had surgery for a HUGE bladder stone, he had a good sized growth on his testicles and was so matted, filthy and flea infested that you wondered how the poor dog even survived. Add to that he is blind. He was surrendered in Texas and unfortunately had no chance at finding a loving home so he was transferred to us for either finding him an adopter to love him or a hospice foster if necessary. On our Facebook page we will post the pictures of him before grooming and the pictures of his surgeries. He has come in and has gone to foster with Linda Heyden who does an amazing job. He has settled in like he owns the house. He is completely housebroken and in only 24 hours has figured out the furniture layout, which crate is his, made friends with all of Linda's other dogs and even friends with the cats. He knows where the door is to go outside to go potty and will scratch on it when he wants to go outside. He isn't real fond of our Iowa weather at just 13.5 lbs. he needs his coat on when he goes outside. He is so friendly - the only thing you need to remember to do is talk to him before trying to pick him up. Since his bladder stone removal and the removal of the orange size growth on his testicles he is having some urine leakage when he gets nervous and at nighttime. He is wearing a belly band at night to help with that. We don't know if that will get better as he completely heals from his surgeries on 11/14/20 so any adopter has to be prepared in the event it does not go away. We are more than a little sure Linda will post additional pictures of him on our Facebook page as she is great at doing so.
