About Scotia

Adoption Fee: $100
Great Pyrenees
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Scotia is an extremely goofy, sweet, and shy Great Pyrenees looking for a quiet home with wide open space. She loves to spend the majority of her time outside, and is looking to transition from her city life to the country. Scotia is calm and sweet demeanored. She is famous in her neighborhood for being a slow, lazy walker. But she enjoys meeting new people on walks, cuddling with her family, and laying outside in the sun to survey her surroundings. When we bring her to areas to play with other dogs, she mostly tries to get pet by their humans. But she's good with most other dogs. Inside her own home, she can be territorial, so she would likely be happiest as an only dog, with some neighborhood dog friends. Scotia is very low energy and needs a primarily outdoor lifestyle. She would also do best in a house without children. Reason for Rehoming: Our home in the city does not have a large enough yard for Scotia so she unfortunately has to spend most of her time inside. Scotia also has a weak gait due to a low grade luxating patella in her right knee. With mild pain medication and daily walks, Scotia is expected to do splendidly. However our home has many steep stairs and hardwood floors, that will be difficult for Scotia in the long run.
