About Desi

Desi is a beautiful 2-3 year old sweetheart. She is smart and quickly learned basic commands and how to be an indoor dog. Desi is a very good girl, aims to please, and is food-motivated. Her favorite activity is to go to the park and roll in the grass every day. Desi has lived with other dogs and would enjoy having a canine friend to play with. She has also lived with cats and does great ignoring them. She is fantastic on a leash and walks at a natural heel a few steps behind her person. With training, I think she would be a wonderful jogging buddy. Desi was diagnosed with megacolon following a healed pelvic fracture. The megacolon has been completely controlled with diet, exercise, and supplements to help her colon function normally. She eats a low-residue diet of homemade meals of chicken or beef with vegetables, along with some low-residue kibble. Desi has never had an accident in the house, however, she needs to be closely monitored whenever she is outside because she has jumped several tall fences. She cannot be left unattended and will be sent with a GPS collar until she fully bonds with her new family.
