About Rocket

Rocket! Rocket was feeling a little self conscious for his pictures because of his healing skin, but we promised him kind potential adopters would understand once they heard his story....and if not, well, their loss! Rocket was originally adopted as a puppy last year and thought he had found his forever home. Fast forward to a few months ago and a neighbor called animal control to come pick him up, as they were concerned about his condition. Rocket had fairly severe non-contagious mange and a skin infection. He spent about 6 weeks in a foster home with a rescue partner of ours until he was healthy enough to come join us at Dog Town. Although his hair may take quite a while to fully grow back and he should be kept on a grain free diet we know Rocket is the handsomest boy now and will just continue to improve. Rocket is good with other dogs, although he is just now trying to figure out how to play with them. At around 1-2 years old he has so much to catch up on, including lots of spoiling. Rocket is neutered, vaccinated and up to date on vet care including preventatives and tested heartworm negative.
