About Dixie

Teeth: 6 left (need teeth cleaning 6 / 8 months) Eyes: cloudy though she can still see (does not like shiny surfaces) Crate trained / can hold for 8 hours (overnight) Dixie is a cute snuggly, buddy looking for a new home, sadly my schedule does not work for caring for a dog. She likes going on walks, sitting on laps, following around owners, and being chased or playing tug of war. She loves being around people and would need a single animal home where she can sniff around and not feel scared and threaten. She can get nippy and aggressive if you are cleaning her eyes (it can get caught in her hair), if you are trying to get food from her mouth, or if an animal hits her. She can be protective to you against strangers but generally loves people. On the flip she will let you do almost anything for a treat so you can break this with a treat (includes hair or eye boogies or her being aggressive). Also loves doggie beds and I have trained her to go to her bed (sometimes need extra encouragement if she's sniffing). She does a few commands, sit, bed (point at which bed), crate, dance (jumps ups and dances), and lay down. She will greet you with unbounding wiggles and playfulness coming home, when you say it's time for a walk, or treats.
