About Milo

Mr Milo is a 10 -12 month old (waiting on birth date confirmation) male Great Pyrenees. He and his brother were adopted together to a young family in Sage with 24 acres. The property though amazing was unfenced, so the brothers would take themselves on adventures, across busy roads, highways until a Good Samaritan would pick them up, post them, and then the family would go pick them up, only for them to continue to repeatedly just leave the acres. At their wits end, and tired of the phone calls and posts about the dogs, they decided to give them up. I took in Milo and his brother was given to another rescue. Milo is a BIG puppy, if you know this breed you know they are stubborn. . Milo is no exception. Sometimes I swear he shakes his head no when I ask him to do something. (Mr. Smart Britches) Milo has made zero attempts at leaving the rescue ranch 8 acre property, I'm pretty sure it's never even crossed his mind. He is here with 15 other large breed animals. He's a very social dog, with people and with other animals. He also came from a home with children, he is very gentle with kids, but he is a BIG puppy. Recommending a child over 10 home or breed saavy home. Milo is crate trained, housebroken, he walks decently on a leash for having never been trained (only ever being allowed free roam) he was taken for a groom shortly after his arrival. He sadly was full of foxtails and ticks. We had to shave just his rear end (he was matted so horribly) but we were able to save the rest of his coat. Milo is VERY friendly, a big snuggle bug. I feel like Milo would do best with a brother or sister fur sibling, then being a lone animal. It's not mandatory, but I think he would thrive not being alone.
