About

Adoption Fee: $75
Russian Blue / Bengal
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

Logan Lambster is a big handsome blue gray and white short hair male approx. 6yr. His adoption fee is $75. He has been vetted and neutered. He is good with nice calm dogs and he loves all people that are nice to him. The two adult male cats in the house don't get along with him. Maybe a kitten? or he would also be happy as the only cat to have his people all to himself. He was being fostered by a friend because his owner went out of state for school and never came back. She loves him and would keep him but her cats don't like him. SHE DIDN'T DUMP HER RESPONSIBILITY ONTO THE KILL SHELTERS. SHE MADE THE EFFORT AND GOT HELP. Most kitties don't just go into a new home and own it, especially older kitties, they need an adjustment period. Patience, love and space will be needed. You cannot force him, that will scare him. Actually, you cannot force any cat, period. Logan is a very talkative boy and he loves to cuddle. He is notorious for finding a lap to lay on and climbing under the covers with you when you go to bed. He is also very food motivated. He loves treats so much that he actually knows what the word 'treat' means and comes running if you ask him if he wants a treat. You would have to be careful not to leave treat bags unattended as he will sniff them out and destroy the bags to eat all the treats! He may jump on the counter but a squirt bottle will take care of that. Remember no words must come from his human during the water squirt. When he gets the zoomies he will sprint around the house meowing but he thinks he is roaring. He is very good at scratching on just his cat tree and he is perfect with his litter box. He is entertaining, social, cuddly and loves both male and female. He is nosey and wants to be where his people are. He loves interactive toys like feather on a stick, shoe lace drag and laser lite as well as the Fling ama String and the $2 'cat dancer' toys. He loves a rectangle corrugated scratcher that lays flat on the floor and he is really good about not scratching the furniture if he has his tall cat tree sitting in front of the window with sun rays beaming in. He will expect to share your bed. He has been free fed Iams quality hard food (quality meaning the first ingredient begins with meat). He doesn't seem to care for canned food but if you could get him to eat a packet or tube of food a day it would benefit him. He loves drinking from a pet water fountain which helps him get the fluids that the hard food deprives him of. Below information is for preventative purposes%BD'%BD| Too many male AND female cats are getting the UTI - urinary tract infection and crystals in their urine. It's a blockage, it's painful and if ignored will lead to death. Vets say the hard food is at fault because it does not deliver enough liquids. It's simple to monitor. Just make sure there is at least one good size pee ball in the litter box a day. Kitty fountains are effective to help manage a cat's fluids. A diet of good quality canned food pate is better than dry food however there are some dry foods that are pH balanced and help maintain Urinary Tract - UT health like Blue Buffalo, Purina Pro Plan, Purina One UT health, Iams UT health.
