About Khloe

Meet Khloe!! She might be tiny but little Miss Khloe is full of kisses and hugs and happy joyous energy! This little wonder is two years old and we were told is a mix of some type of Maltese, Terrier and possibly Chihuahua breed. She weighs between 7 to 8 pounds, has long legs and likes to not only stand on our hind legs but dance on them as well! She will do dances with spins when it is mealtime and is very affectionate She was given up by a young girl who got her from a friend, so the poor little thing has already been in two homes as well as having been bred for a litter of puppies. She was given to us in the parking lot of a Target in Tulare, CA. She was shaking and so scared initially and when she went into her foster home she claimed the couch as homebase and would not leave it at first. But she came around quickly and figured out that snuggling in bed was great fun and that none of the dogs or cats were going to hurt her. She is a fantastic eater, loves to wear dresses and other doggies clothes and is very bright having taken to housebreaking super rapidly. She is fine with dogs and cats, rarely barks (if ever) and is completely trustworthy when left alone. Her adoption fee includes the following: 1. Her spay (provided by the rescue) 2. Up to date vaccinations including rabies 3. Microchip 4 Starter food 5. Harness and leash as well as a dress and pajamas. 6. Bed An adoption fee does apply. As we prescreen via email ONLY (we do NOT make or receive phone calls in the pre-screening phase) please tell us a bit about you such as: 1. Your lifestyle, activity level and work schedule. 2. Area you live in and if it is a house or apartment. 3. How many adults, children and pets in the household. 4. Where your pet stays when you are out or at work. 5. Where your pet will sleep. 6. Your dog experience 7. If you don't have another dog how you will keep her socialized Some notes to consider before applying for Adelaide: 1. Khloe is part Terrier and possibly part Poodle. She does not really shed and will require a trim from time to time. 2. Khloe is shy when you first meet her which is just a part of not being socialized properly in her previous homes. She does warm up quickly. Please keep in mind she will need continued socialization so that she can be the best canine citizen possible. 3. Please make sure you are ready to adopt before coming to see our adoptable dogs. We are a foster based rescue and do not have the space to hold dogs for a couple of weeks while you vacation or make your way to California to come and adopt. We will adopt out of state but ONLY if the potential adopter comes here to adopt in person and that is after a screening by Skype. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS EVER so please don't ask. No exceptions to this rule are ever made. 4. We are often inundated with emails about our adoptable dogs and try as we might to make everyone happy it is nearly impossible with only one dog and sometimes up to 50 potential families. The more information you provide in your email to us the quicker we will get back to you. If you have written to us before about a particular dog and did not receive a response please do try again. We try to answer every email but it is not always possible. Every dog has different home requirements that we search for so sometimes you are the right fit for the dog we are trying to place.
