About MAX

This is Max. He is a young 4 year old Cane Corso. He is all puppy. Max was found walking for weeks the streets. Once taken into rescue a Micro chip was discovered... both numbers were ca;;ed multiple times and voicemails and text messages were left but nobody called back. Max was just discarded. Now Max is a PAWS and Stars Dog and well cared for. The one thing he needs is a FOREVER home. Max does ok with female dogs. He is slowly learning how to interact with other dogs but seems to be doing better each day. He is not good with cats or any other small animals. Max is house trained and rides well in the car. He has separation anxiety and hates being left in a kennel. He would do well with someone who is home a lot. The first night he broke out of 2 kennels and ended up with us in the bedroom sleeping through the night like an angel. Max is 140 lbs of love. He is not a good dog for a first time dog owner or a home with small kids. Older kids 12+ would be best. He needs leash manners but does other commands such as sit and down. He is simply stunning. Thankfully he doesn't have a docked tail and cropped ears. He is all natural! his beautiful golden eyes will make you fall hard for him and his light brindle look. Cane Corsos are powerful and athletic, best suited to experienced pet parents who have large, securely fenced yards. They'll definitely need their humans to give them a task; otherwise, they may find their own ways to reduce boredom - probably with destructive behavior. If you can give your dog plenty of space, exercise, and training, then this may be the breed for you! The Cane Corso is a serious dog breed for a person who is serious about having a dog as a companion and who can provide him with the firm and loving guidance he needs to become a great dog. He is a family-only dog. Don't expect him to buddy up with everyone he meets: He has no interest in people or other animals outside his family, but those within the family will have his undivided loyalty and protection.
