About Sasha

This is Sasha! Female. 42.2lbs. Very young/puppy like in behavior. Friendly, but still skittish if anyone moves to quickly, but once she knows shes in good hands she does wonderfully. We know she's been mistreated. Approx 8-9 months old, a stray female, Lab mix that wandered up on a property. She runs like a gazelle. But she also calms down very easily. She's not hyper at all. She plays when it's time to play them comes in and will settle down. She loves to give out kisses. She does well with other dogs and not right for cats. Alone, she would be wanting more attention and would require a stay-at-home or work-from-home individual. She is learning manners, almost potty trained, too. She only has an accident if you miss her cue to go outside. She will stand at the backdoor then look back at her human. That's her cue. She is not good on a leash, but the foster is working with her to get used to one although at the moment she is scared and not sure what it is. Not crate trained, but learning to go in one. And only for short periods. She will lay inside one, at times, with the door open. She is still puppy and will chew, but given a chew toy and other toys. She's easily corrected and redirected. Very eager to please and very smart and she knows how to open a door if it's not shut all the way. She seems good with big dogs and dogs that are 20lbs & active. Sasha would thrive in a home with one or more dogs. She will require a privacy fenced in yard. She's active, playful, enjoys playing with a couple of other dogs, and will attach to her human quickly. She still needs a moment to trust people, but then she wants to be with them everywhere. This is why she needs a home with one or more dogs., so she gets to play & learn more about being a dog. Sasha understands the pack rules, never snaps back when others snap at her. She has no aggression, and is submissive.
