About Gabby

Lab mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Currently in foster in Olympia, Washington. Gabby...aka Gabriella...is 6 1/2 yrs old (doesn't look like or act like 6yo but MC registration says so). She is a good dog but 50% Alpha. She loves other dogs but will play the boss. I had her in the big dog pen for several days with other dogs and she left the little ones alone. It was just another dog around her size that she had a pretty good tussle with. She is a character, though...happy, playful, loves attention unless you're wanting to put ear medicine in her ears! %BD%BD%BDS Then she is wanting to get far away from you! I'm not sure what the breed she is. She kind of looks like a wire-haired Terrier...3 times larger. She is probably about 60#s. I believe she is house trained. I had her in the house for 2 days and she had access to go outside at will and I didn't catch her doing anything in the house. She did look twice at the cats but she didn't attack. Wouldn't totally trust her with cats. This dog is available now to pre-adopt. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, transport with one of our professional dog transporters, and 6 mos of heartworm prevention.. If you have any questions, text me... 210-394-6060. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the on-line application. We try to make it as easy as possible for you but if you are applying or have applied anywhere else, we do need to know that, too. SHANYE'S FOSTERS is a group of foster parents in the Olympia/Tumwater area. We foster dogs for rescues and assist them in adopting/rehoming of their pups/dogs by listing on this site. Many dogs posted here are available to pre adopt NOW directly from the rescue. The only ones in foster in the NW specifically state that. We have very few fosters so most need to be pre adopted. All adoption fees go towards rescuing more dogs in need. No one receives a salary. Shayne's Fosters is not responsible for any experience you have with any dog you might see posted on this site. They are the property of the sponsoring rescue who will supply all medical supporting records which is given with each dog when adopted. Our adoption fees cover all medical costs to make sure the pups are appropriately vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and spayed/ neutered. It also covers the cost of transport from Texas and the necessary health certificate documentation. The fees also include a negative heartworm test for any dogs over 6 months. Some dogs have additional medical, such as FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and a myriad of other vetting. We do full disclosure of medical care/situations. If the adoption fees seem high (which never cover the true cost of rescue), we recommend fostering for a good rescue. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees. We are always in need of good fosters. We are all volunteers who donate our time and resources to help save as many dogs/pups lives as we possibly can. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. Over 1 billion dogs worldwide are put to sleep (PTS) annually... thousands daily. The dog pounds PTS entire litters, pregnant/nursing moms and wonderful dogs that can make someone a great companion. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than 'rescue' for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.
