About Abel

Adoption Fee: $350
Mountain Cur
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Abel is a 1 year old, 50 lbs, male Mountain Cur. He is gentle, sweet and considered easy. He does well with other dogs. Females better than males, but that's just simply because he is a teenager, just getting neutered and has to learn a bit more social skills. One of his best buds here at the rescue is a young male.He does great with kids and people. He loves to hug and is very gentle when he is standing up on his hind legs to show you his affection. He is crate trained, but most likely not 100% house broken. Most likely Abel had never any vetting done and tested positive for heartworms. He is getting currently treated and since he is a young pup he will go through the treatment with flying colors and no damage and after care is expected. Due to his treatment he is only able to be adopted in GA. By March he is eligible to leave the state. Hoping he will not have to wait that long to find his forever person. Able was found in Rural Georgia at a place where dogs just get dumped on a regular basis. His walked down claws and skinny body are indicators that he didn't end up on the street by mistake. This boy is amazing and the breed makes fantastic family dogs but do need exercise. Intelligent, loyal and dependable, the Mountain Cur bonds closely with his owner and considers his primary duties to protect and please his human family. The Mountain Cur can be reserved with strangers, but responds well to training provided he's been well-socialized with plenty of human interaction. The breed also makes for a wonderful family companion and watchdog. If you would like to meet ABLE please send us a message in order to receive an application. We are only meeting with approved applicants by appointment. His adoption fee is $ 350 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test, neuter and micro chip.
