Courtesy Posting: 2 YR OLD CREAM CHOW BOY HENRY NEEDS EXPERIENCED CHOW SAVVY ADOPTER OR RESCUE HENRY Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada Henry is an approximate 2 year old, very handsome cream chow who was originally adopted by one person as a puppy, and then rehomed approximately two months ago to another person with no prior chow experience either. Although Henry's new owner says, 'He's a very sweet, loving boy with me as we're quite bonded' unfortunately, two days after they got him, the owner's mother reached over him with a pair scissors- and he bit her three times which required stitches. Since then, they said 'he is quite friendly and affectionate with the bite victim now.' The new owner also said, 'He's bonded very strongly to me as his person and I believe he would do so again with a strong adopter�'�|. Friendly with other dogs and very loving with his people but ambivalent and/or aggressive towards strangers. Not good with cats (he likes to chase)'. It should be noted that Henry was not neutered before, this was just done on November 20th and he is now current on shots as well. The prior owner did not disclose any issues with aggression, but he was noticeably physically neglected looking at the time. It is unclear how well they socialized him or not. The new owner has now worked a bit with a trainer, but feels he is better suited with an adopter who has experience with the breed and no children in the home. The owner reports he is completely potty trained. We are therefore looking for a chow savvy adopter who understands the breed well. We have lots of video to share so you can see he can be a very loving boy in the right environment.
