I rescued Dixie in Long Beach Ms. but have since realized that she just isn't suited to our full time RV lifestyle. She just has too much energy and needs a fenced in yard and preferably another dog to play with! She is super high energy and loves to play! She is also super sweet! The only reason I put not good with kids is because she is jumpy and would not do well with small children. Older kids would be okay. Her drawbacks are her impulse control and resistance to proper leash training. She HAS to have that nose on the ground and pulls hard when she catches a scent she wants to explore more. I've tried a variety of collars and harnesses with limited success. Basically what it boils down to is you'd better keep a firm hand on the leash at all times. I'm sure that someone with better dog training skills could change that behavior. I consider it my failure that I haven't been successful with her. I hope someone reads this who can give her the home she deserves. She is a sweet girl. She just isn't suited to living in an RV. Please help!
