Description of pet If you need more info please email. We only have volunteers and are unable to answer general adoption questions/questions about a dog over the phone. Carson is a extremely handsome blue/tan 2 year old Mini Dachshund. He weighs around 8-9lbs. He is neutered and heartworm negative. He loves everyone and everything. Carson has a significant heart murmur and enlarged heart. He will need to be kept on heart meds for remainder of his life (estimated $25-75 a month)We would prefer a nice quiet home with another dog his size to keep him company. He would make a perfect lap dog for a retired couple. Carson is working on crate and potty training. We do not know how long Carson's time will be but we feel he deserves to be with a loving family. We know it can be hard to get attached to a dog with a health issue but the love that this little guy will give you will be very rewarding. He must have a fenced yard to keep him safe .His adoption fee is waived but adopter must have either heart dog or dachshund experience and a established vet reference.
