About

Adoption Fee: $75
Bengal / Abyssinian
Age: Young Kitten
Sex: Male

Jimmy and Joey are an adorable pair of 4mo bottle-fed brothers that would love to stay together for life. Jimmy is a chocolate black short hair and Joey is a red orange swirl short hair. Their adoption fee is $75 each. There was a litter of 5 newborns found without a mom. This amazing family took them in, hand fed them, loved and cared for them and got them ready for adoption. Jimmy and Joey are the last 2 available. They have been vetted, spayed/neutered and tested +leuk and - FIV. They are hardy healthy kittens that have tested positive for feline leukemia. All they need is a happy, stress free loving environment with lots of toys. They will expect to sleep with you and will love you unconditionally. Since there is no treatment for a true positive just keep an eye on your new kitty/s like you would with any pet/family member, and if you notice anything unusual, treat the symptoms. Any surgery including spaying or neutering lowers an animal's immune system. This didn't affect them at all. Their immune systems are strong! According to the Vet, 'They are very adoptable' (but we knew that :) They love nice dogs and older kids. It is advised that these kittens be homed with another FELV positive kitty like a littermate! IF YOU CAN NOT TAKE CARE OF A LIFE THEN GET HELP! ABANDONING AN ANIMAL TO DIE ALONE IS CRUEL AND AGAINST THE LAW. These babies are your typical cute cuddly, playful precious, rowdy and rambunctious kittens! They are fun, sweet and adorable! Kittens need playmates! You cannot have a happy kitty alone in a home all day. They need other pets, nice kids or even siblings to play with otherwise they sleep all day and are up all night. When they are awake during the day, they have so much pent up energy they get into things and start 'climbing the walls. Kittens are players that need lots of toys. They love boxes, interactive toys like feather on a stick, shoe lace drag, a laser lite as well as the 'Fling ama String' and the $2 'cat dancer' toy. They have been free fed Science Diet kitten quality hard food (the first ingredient beginning with meat), they get quality canned food morning and night. They need kitten food till they are 1 year old. They love kitty treats in small dosages while young, a rectangle corrugated scratcher that lays flat on the floor and a tall cat tree sitting in front of the window with the sun rays beaming in. They need playmates, a cat tree, love and an inside home. Cats/Kittens are an 18 year commitment! There are misconceptions made towards FELV positive cats so below is a link to help educate if you have no prior or current knowledge of this virus. https://bestfriends.org/stories-blog-videos/latest-news/feline-leukemia-misconceptions Continue reading for more interesting virus facts! Below information is for preventative purposes'| Too many male AND female cats are getting the UTI - urinary tract infection and crystals in their urine. It's a blockage, it's painful and if ignored will lead to death. Vets say the hard food is at fault because it does not deliver enough liquids. It's simple to monitor. Just make sure there is at least one good size pee ball in the litter box a day. Kitty fountains are effective to help manage a cat's fluids. A diet of good quality canned food pate is better than dry food however there are some dry foods that are pH balanced and help maintain Urinary Tract - UT health like Blue Buffalo, Purina Pro Plan, Purina One UT health, Iams UT health. AVOID FISH! ADOPT Jimmy and Joey FOR LIFE! When I first met her, she had 13 completely indoor rescued cats eating drinking sleeping together. Every year she had been testing them. For 10 years, 12 cats tested negative and 1 cat tested positive and on the 11 year they all tested negative. The cat tested out of it! Or was it ever positive in the first place? This may not happen to every cat and I am sure there are some horror stories but this proves that anything can happen.' Bottom line'| FeLV - Cat Leukemia today isn't the death sentence that we once thought it to be. Keep cat safe and healthy by keeping him indoors only. Be proactive and seek veterinary care at first sign of illness. REMEMBER WHEN YOU ARE ADOPTING A PET YOU ARE ADOPTING A FAMILY MEMBER FOR LIFE! THEY ARE NOT THROW AWAY TOYS! WHEN YOU MOVE YOU TAKE YOUR CHILDREN, YOUR BELONGINGS, YOUR PETS. IT'S A LIFE, A COMMITMENT TO THE END.
