About Crush

FOSTER TO ADOPT OR ADOPTER WANTED Crush is a 5 year old neutered male Border Collie. He came to rescue as an owner surrender. The owner was undergoing cancer treatment and could no longer provide a stable home for him. He came to us Heartworm Positive which he is undergoing treatment for. We will consider placing him in a foster to adopt home or adopting him outright with the understanding that he must continue to receive his treatments (which we will pay for). Crush has done farm dog herding trials in the past. He really enjoys having activity and needs a handler that can help him focus on the tasks. He aims to please and is a sweet boy! He is house and crate trained and walks well on leash. He enjoys car rides and going on adventures. He would do best in a home with another doggy playmate (female) his size/energy level. He will require a fenced yard. He really needs a dog savvy handler as he can be possessive of his humans and he needs to be redirected when he tries to claim his people. He is not a first time dog owner dog! But he has lots of potential in the right environment!
