Please note that in order to qualify for the stipend, the animal cannot go to a boarding facility The shelter writes: 'Nemo has vomited 3x so far and has concerning gas distention. We are not sure what the cause is, but it could possibly be ileus, foreign body/obstruction, or volvulus. Nemo needs to leave the shelter by EOD tomorrow, 11/22 and needs to be hospitalized for continued supportive care. He needs an abdominal ultrasound and potential exploratory surgery. Nemo has been nervous so far; however, he did warm up with a slow approach' 250 USD private stipend via DLM for NEMO's medical costs. INTAKE DATE: 11/16/2020 He's special, sweet and loves his treats! NEMO arrived at the shelter a stray, and though initially shy and timid, with a couple minutes and a few treats his tail quickly started to wag. It's understandable that he was scared from having been out wandering the streets of NYC lost and alone, and it takes a guy some time to decompress after such a harrowing adventure to find his playful spirit again. But Nemo is doing just that, and now he is ready to find his perfect forever family. He's a stunning big boy, with a big and gentle heart to match, sure to become someone's cuddlebug on the sofa and best friend for life. We'd love to see him ensconced by someone's holiday tree soon! So don't wait! HURRY AND MESSAGE OUR PAGE or EMAIL US at [email protected] if you can foster or adopt this darling boy. A staffmember writes: 'Nemo was brought in by the police.
