About Buddy

Meet Buddy, a Vallhund/Terrier/Chi mix. He is about 20lbs of sweet. Bud has a special needs but is blossoming. He had a sad life prior to being rescued...he was in a hoarding situation and he's had to learn structure and nurturing having none the first few years. He is only 4 years now. He was afraid of a house and is now learning warm is good and walking on a leash is good and cuddling is great. He has no issues with people but young kids that are noisy and super busy playful and want to overly hug on him make him nervous. He just shuts down a bit. Older kids would be terrific and Buddy MUST find his forever home with another nice dog. Dogs give him security since all he knew before was 'the pack'. He is fine with cats at first but once comfortable he won't leave them alone so no cats is best for this boy. He is still learning house training and crate training (this is the harder one so we think he was caged) but his foster mom and dad are diligently working with him. He will be a very good dog for a family willing to understand his dysfunctional beginnings. He won't be perfect right away (he is a rescued dog) but he will become that with structure, peaceful surroundings, and love.
