Tank Pit Bull Mix Male 5 years old 63 lbs. Hey there friends, my name is Tank, and I'm a gentle, independent, sweet guy who will be your very best friend for life if you decide to be my forever family! I'm at my happiest when I'm curled up near my person, whether it's on the couch or on a big pile of pillows and blankets. That said, I do like talking short walks and I do get the zoomies and sprint around the back yard. I've also got a great tail wag that moves my whole butt back and forth when I get excited. I'm a really friendly pup and I enjoy meeting new people and saying hi to everyone when I'm out on walks! I am friendly to other dogs overall when seeing them out of the house but I seem to prefer the ladies more than other male dogs. But I think I'd just prefer being the only dog in the house overall as I've had a few issues with sharing my space/resource guarding when dogs visit my foster home. I haven't met any cats so I can't confirm how I'd do with cat friends and I think I'd do best in a home without young kids just since I haven't had any experience with kiddos yet in my life. One thing to note is that I likely have small tears in my cruciate ligaments. The vet doesn't recommend surgery at this time since it is a partial tear and they can possibly heal with some inflammatory medication and time. However, I'm looking for a family who would be 1000% ready to take on the cost and recovery support of surgery down the road if my ligaments don't heal or do completely tear at the recommendation of a vet (cost of a future surgery would be about $1,000 and then I'd be all healthy from there!) and again, there's a good chance I won't need it!
