About Lucy

Meet Lucy, a beautiful brindle boxer mix looking for a best friend. This 5-year-old, 40-pound girl is located in Dover, NH. She's microchipped, spayed, and up-to-date on vaccines. Though her ears seem to transmit signals to far off places, human life forms are her favorite. She loves to love people! Sadly, the alone time in her shelter kennel has made her depressed, but her dream family can put her heart back together. Lucy is a bundle of energy who loves going for walks and playing games, especially fetch. In fact, unlike many rescue dogs, she would do best in an active home rather than a calm one, and would likely make an excellent exercise buddy. When she's not going on adventures, Lucy can also have a laidback side, and is a quiet girl who's happy just to be near her people. As affectionate as Lucy is, she can't bear to be alone, and her ideal family will be home often to minimize separation anxiety. She also needs a home with no cats and no children younger than twelve. Canine companions must get Lucy's stamp of approval at a meet-and-greet, but a lower energy dog is likely her favorite type of sibling.
