About Izzy

Izzy is a one year old Setter full of energy and ready for her foster-to-adopt or adoptive home. Izzy loves to run and is very birdy, so she needs a secure yard with six-foot fences. Because she loves to run, she can workout some of her young-Setter energy, but she'd be happy with walks with her human in addition to stretching out time. She has been happy running and playing with an active ES friend. ��%BD'��%BD��%BD Since she has had little training, Izzy will need a dog-savvy home with people who are patient and understanding. At her boarding facility Izzy is getting some basic training, but will need a home where experienced people can show her the way to become the incredible companion she is meant to be. Izzy loves the interaction of training and is a willing student-especially when the training is accompanied by lots of treats! ��%BD'��%BD��%BD Izzy is a power chewer! She can quickly chew through a soft toy and has even destroyed a Kong. She will need a home where her people keep things neat and are willing to watch her to make sure she doesn't get into inappropriate things. Izzy loves her Nylabones which can stand up to her chewing needs. With patient training, Izzy will learn not to chew things, but in the meantime will need careful guidance and attention. ��%BD'��%BD��%BD We've not had Izzy in a home with children and she is very active so she is only a candidate for homes with children 7+ years of age. We are still learning if Izzy will require a home with another dog, but if there is another dog in the home, that dog should be friendly and confident. ��%BD'��%BD��%BD Izzy is crate-trained. House-training is a work in progress. She has not been exposed to cats, but since she has high prey drive, we assume she is not safe for cats. She is fully vetted and ready to move into a home.
