About Diamond

Australian Cattle Dog / English Setter
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

**Not going to be euthanized, post keeps auto going to that setting :( Meet Diamond !! This beautiful girl is looking for her new forever home. Diamond is a female, 2 year old, cattle dog mix. She weighs approximately 40 pounds. She will be spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines as part of her adoption. Diamond came to us with what appeared to be an allergic reaction to fleas, we've taken care of the fleas and she has a small spot on her back that is healing. She does have some staining to her coat from previous chewing. This will go away with time. She is very sweet and loves nothing more then spending time with her family. She is good with dogs but will chase cats if they are out in the yard running around, she has done well with them inside the home. She also does very well with children but needs to be reminded not to jump when she's excited. Toddlers and very young children may not be the best fit as she jumps up and may accidentally knock them over. Diamond is mostly house trained and does well if taken outside on a schedule to go potty. She rides well in the car and is working on learning to walk nicely on a leash. Shes just so excited she finds it hard to always remember her manners! She has a high energy level and will need a family dedicated to keeping her exercised. She is working on her obedience and house manners and is very smart, she just hasn't had a family to teach her yet. Someone willing to work on manners and training is a must for her. Diamond spent her entire life on a chain until the family moved and just left her behind to die z Thankfully a neighbor noticed her and fed her until they could get her help. She needs someone that understands she needs all the training and manners she was never able to learn as a puppy. She is such a sweet and loving dog that is ready for the right active family to give her a chance! Located in Hampton VA. (She will need to be adopted within an approx 1 hour drive radius due to pending spay appointment) 'IF INTERESTED IN ADOPTING READ BELOW '' Please message [email protected] directly with questions or to get an application.
